AGAIN AGAIN UNTIL YOU GAIN

I have come to know about this quote when I was very small, at that time I didn't understand that what does it means. But later one day I was studying then my mom told me the actual meaning of it and told me a story. A Story of the Potter In a small village, a young potter struggled to shape clay on his wheel. Each time he tried, the clay collapsed, mocking his effort. Villagers laughed, saying he lacked talent. But the potter remembered a simple mantra whispered by his teacher: “Again, again, until you gain.” So he returned to the wheel every morning. His hands grew steadier, his patience deeper. After weeks of failure, one morning the clay rose gracefully, forming a perfect pot. The villagers marveled, but the potter smiled quietly—he knew it wasn’t magic, it was persistence. The Rhythm of Persistence Life rarely rewards us on the first attempt. The mountain doesn’t bow to a single step, nor does the seed bloom the moment it touches the soil. True growth is born from repetition—those countless tries that seem invisible to the world but shape the strength within us. The Lesson Repetition builds mastery. Every failed attempt is a rehearsal for success. Consistency beats talent. Natural ability fades without effort, but persistence sharpens even the dullest skill. Gain is inevitable. If you keep showing up, the universe eventually rewards your resilience. Modern Reflection of it. Think of the athlete training daily, the student revising tirelessly, or the entrepreneur rebuilding after setbacks. Their victories aren’t sudden—they are the harvest of “again, again, until you gain.” Call to Action Next time you stumble, don’t call it defeat. Call it practice. Stand up, try again, and let the rhythm of persistence carry you forward. Because the truth is simple: every “again” brings you closer to your “gain.
